This event brings a variety of resources together in one place at one time. Everyone is invited to come to see and talk to many sources for ideas to help their family. Enjoy delicious food, participate in some fun activities, visit all the exhibits and attend workshops.
"It takes a village to raise a child" is an African proverb that means an entire community of people must interact with a child to allow them to experience and grow in a safe and healthy environment. This can apply to adults too. There are so many resources in our community that can make our lives brighter. As we bring these together in one place it makes it easier to find solutions.
This event is a community event to celebrate spring. Aimee Winder Newton, Office of Families Senior Advisor to Gov. Spencer J. Cox pointed out at the Fair last year that "a healthy family is not a perfect family, but rather one that knows where to get resources".
